Flying:
At the aerodrome at Tallard there are numerous flying experiences you may sample; gliding, flying in a gyrocopter or helicopter, parachuting, hot air ballooning and even paragliding. If you are interested www.gap–tallard.com provides you with all the necessary information or when in France, pop into the Maison de l´Air on the aerodrome.
Karting:
With Alpes Karting, at Piegut, 8 miles away. The minimum age for this activity is 7. There are several types of kart you can hire and sessions can last from 30 minutes up to 6 hours. (Open May – end of October, 10am – 7.30pm)
Quad Biking:
With Quad Passion, rides can be taken near to the lake at Serre Ponçon, roughly 15 miles away. For adults, a driving license is required as no formal training is given. A quad can be hired for a 1 or 2 hour slot and some excursions can be guided if preferred. Children as young as 6 can have a go on the supervised circuit for 30 minutes and for children over the age of 9, the duration is 1 hour.
Horse Riding:
Children and adults alike enjoy pony riding and the weather and scenery is perfect in Haute Provence to really enjoy this activity. You may either have a one hour lesson or go for a trek for the afternoon or even the day. The riding school, Mon Ami Pierrot, at Neffes, 4 miles away or Ecuries de Ceuze at Sigoyer are good stables with fully trained instructors offering a variety of excursions.
Adventure Climbing:
At Laye, 16 miles away from Tallard at Jungle Aventure one can do paintball, bungee ejection and forest climbs. Children as young as 4, may try their hand at climbing and having fun on the ropes. Harnesses and equipment are provided by the park and there are plenty of instructors on hand to help out.
Golf:
At the Plateau de Bayard, there is an 18 hole golf course. It is regarded as one of the most beautiful mountain golf ranges in Europe.

Tennis:
Many of the villages (Tallard, Neffes, La Saulce, Venterol) have their own tennis courts which you can hire for the afternoon. You can purchase a ticket from the Mairie (Town Hall, opening times vary from village to village).
